ARTHRITIS and DEGENERATIVE DISEASES Our veterinarians offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for orthopedic and degenerative problems your pet may be experiencing. Our Doctors will apprise you of the many new orthopedic surgical procedures, and medications currently available to help restore your pet's mobility.
NEW PUPPY and KITTEN VISITS These first visits are especially fun and very important in getting your new pet off to a good start. Our doctors perform thorough physical examinations, focusing on any internal or external parasite problems, congenital or developmental abnormalities. Our doctors and assistants will give you the latest information about diet, training, and preventative care.
EYE CARE Using a state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluation, we are able to accurately measure your pet’s intraocular pressure with this quick, painless procedure. We use this diagnostic test any time we have a patient present with a “red eye”. We also recommend screening tests for those breeds prone to primary glaucoma.
EAR INFECTIONS   Chronic ear infections can be a sign of a deeper problem. If your pet suffers from recurrent ear infections, we'll examine your pet's ears and prescribe a treatment plan to help make your pet more comfortable. We offer ear flushing procedures, and treatment for conditions such as ear mites, ear infections and chronic ear problems.
SKIN and DERMATOLOGY PROBLEMS Dermatology and skin disorders can lead to your pet having itching problems, hair loss, skin infections, ringworm, mites, and "hot spots". If you pet is constantly scratching, or licking, we'll help you determine the cause of your pet's skin problem and help you with a treatment plan to make your pet more comfortable.

Pet Wellness & Lifestage Care

PET PHARMACY Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex maintains a complete pet pharmacy providing medications, supplements and prescription diets for your pet companions. In this day and age of Internet pharmacies promising bargain prices on medications without a prescription, we urge our clients to use only medications prescribed by a licensed veterinarian, who has performed a physical examination of your pet including appropriate laboratory and medical evaluation procedures. Often times, prescription drugs bought from online pharmacies may not be FDA approved, may be counterfeit, or may be past their expiration date.
